Monitoring and Reviewing
JREDS plays an important and very active role in lobbying for the environment. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a cyclical activity with feedback and interaction between the various steps. As part of the EIA activity, JREDS is involved in monitoring some of the main industrial or tourism projects in Aqaba that could have any impact on the environment. After reviewing the projects JREDS is involved in decision-making and providing alternatives for that purpose. In addition, by being active in some project management, JREDS provides a vital component in Aqaba in the EIA as one of the instruments to achieve sustainable development that does not cost the earth.
