Establish your Own Business Training
The objective of this project is to equip the women of Aqaba with the skills to establish their own business and market their products. Working with highly-qualified trainers, JREDS provides women with practical training on a variety of small business topics.

Women Handicrafts Training Center
The goal of this center is to train the women of Aqaba in innovative, native and creative handicrafts. Our goal is to improve the living standards of the less fortunate women of Aqaba and their families by providing them with professional training on new lines of products. The indirect impact of this project would be empowering and building the capacity of these women.
Furthermore, this project will create a competitive culture for tourism in Aqaba and will provide job opportunities for women working in the field of handicraft production and marketing.
During the project, JREDS provides an awareness session on how to protect the marine environment and the role of women there.

Gift Shop and Outlets
To complete the cycle of production, JREDS has a main gift shop at the Marine Park Visitor Center. The gift shop helps the trained women sell their products and works as an income-generating tool for JREDS.

Income Generating Project
This project tackles the issue of poverty in the region. The main components of this project are: the revolving funds, environmental training and training on income-generating handicrafts. Several hundred women were trained on different skills like candle making, wood carving and other native handicrafts. Women were also trained on business topics such as accounting, book-keeping, marketing and stock management. After completion of the training, women were eligible for the credit component through the revolving fund.
