"At the heart of volunteerism are the ideals of service and solidarity and the belief that together we can make the world better."
Kofi Annan, Secretary-General, United Nations
Volunteering at JREDS means sharing knowledge, experience and skills. Volunteers come to learn environmental and social stewardship, whether they give their time, knowledge, or efforts.
JREDS provides volunteers with a chance to give back to their community, and become an environmental steward.
JREDS has recruited volunteers from Japan, Italy, USA, China and Egypt. This international exchange had benefited both JREDS and the volunteers, as together the volunteers and JREDS built a cross cultural working environment and expanded the volunteers' capacities and enriched their general knowledge.
Volunteerism is an enormous force of change. We seek to promote volunteerism by enlarging the number of volunteers in Jordan working towards social change. We, at JREDS, seek to harness this force of change to raise environmental awareness, and alter adverse human impacts on the environment.
