Job Summary: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Designs, develops and modifies software applications, components and databases; supports and\/or installs software applications and components; works from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the role. Provides subject matter expertise and technical leadership; leads complex development tasks \/ projects to successful completion.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Utilize established development tools, guidelines and coding conventions to develop high-performance backend databases for world-class software applications.<\/li>\n
  • Develop and maintain the database stored procedures, objects, views and functions for all software applications.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements.<\/li>\n
  • Act as a technical reference \/ subject matter expert in all areas of the application & database development life-cycle.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to the high-performance of the agile-development lifecycle by ensuring productive, consistent and successful sprints by working to reduce blocking issues for the team.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain existing software & database systems by identifying and correcting software defects.<\/li>\n
  • Coach and develop team members to increase the team\u2019s bench strength and flexibility.<\/li>\n
  • Participate in regular design and code reviews with development team members to confirm use of best practices.<\/li>\n
  • Translate business requirements into applications by implementing the best strategy to ensure design meets performance, usability, reliability, and scalability standards.<\/li>\n
  • Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed development tasks.<\/li>\n
  • Estimate the duration of design, development, and testing tasks.<\/li>\n
  • Create new and extend existing operational documentation based on industry best practices and established international standards of software development.<\/li>\n
  • Prioritize and organize development tasks in order to contribute to meeting project and product development goals on-time and on-budget.<\/li>\n
  • Author detailed documentation for source code created.<\/li>\n
  • Understand and evaluate new technologies, develop skills in new technologies.<\/li>\n
  • Complete special projects and assignments as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Experience in eLearning applications.<\/li>\n
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n
        • Team-player that is positive, proactive and a motivated self-starter.<\/li>\n
        • Knowledge and experience with build and release management.<\/li>\n
        • Experience in quality assurance processes \/ tools.<\/li>\n
        • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.<\/li>\n

          Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.<\/li>\n
          • Minimum of 5 years software development experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
