Board Member and Chief Business Development Officer
Zaid Walid Mohammad Tahabsem is a Board Member of Integrated Technology Group (ITG) and the Chief Business Development Officer, where he leads the group’s regional and international expansion strategy. He oversees the development of partnerships, sales, and marketing across the sectors of education, e-government, and digital transformation.
Career Journey
Zaid began his professional career in the United States, where he held several positions, including IT Project Manager at the Executive Office of Information Technology Services for the Government of Massachusetts. He also previously worked at State Street Bank in Boston. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University in Boston.
Social Responsibility & Non-Profit Sector
Zaid has extensive experience in the non-profit sector, where he led the development of the World Refugee School (WRS), achieving a tangible impact that reached more than 18,000 beneficiaries in northern Syria. During his leadership, he received, on behalf of the institution, an honorary recognition from His Holiness Pope Francis for its efforts in serving underprivileged communities.
He also contributed to building strategic partnerships, most notably with the UK-based City & Guilds Foundation. Zaid was further recognized for his contributions to education in light of the refugee crisis. He is also a strategic partner with the Refugee and Migrant Education Network (RMEN), reflecting his commitment to multi-sectoral development and fostering a culture of giving and innovation.
Leadership Boards & Memberships
Alongside his role at ITG, Zaid serves on the boards of several organizations, including VentureX, the Integrated Agricultural Projects Company (IAP), and Hassad. He is also an active member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a global network comprising thousands of leaders and entrepreneurs across industries, offering opportunities for learning, networking, and knowledge exchange. His early membership before the age of 30 is a significant milestone that underscores his position as a young leader with a global vision and access to development opportunities at the highest levels.
